Cuban Black Beans

  • 1 red onion, diced
  • 2 red pepper, diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • Dry white wine
  • 2 cans of black beans
  • Ground cumin
  • Oregano
  1. Packet of Goya Sazon
  2. 1 Lime
  3. Directions:
  4. Cook diced sweet onions and peppers over medium heat in olive oil. Once the onions are softening up, add garlic. Then you cool it down with some white wine (not too sweet, something middling). Let it steam off for a minute.
  5. Add black beans. Simmer the beans for a bit, low-medium. Then add an ounce of ground cumin, oregano, and Goya Sazon. Mix it in well.
  6. Move it to a crock pot and add juice from a lime. Cook for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low.
